Next Event: Transition Zone

On the 29th and 30th of may this year our part of the big green weekend will be to transform a large area in the centre of town into a Transition Zone. The zone will be a living example of lots of what needs happen in town to make us sustainable. We will split the zone into energy, waste, food, transport, local economy etc.

The whole thing will be powered by alternative energy and will feature a solar powered cinema, bike powered stage, delicious local food cafe, garden making, workshops, events and information.

There's lots to do so if your into making stuff, sustainability, gardening, alternative technologies, cooking, networking, workshopping, planning, cycling, films, art, politics etc etc bring your ideas along to our next meeting or join one of our zone working groups.
