Here is a list of things that we need that will help us to become a sustainable town:
- People who have some spare time and an interest in sustainability, there are lots of general jobs to do and not enough of us to do them.
- People with specialist skills in any of the areas we are looking at, these include food, energy, waste, transport, local economy, health and education
- Land, it doesn't matter how big or how small, if you have any spare land or garden space that you would like to see turned over to local food production let us know
- Fundraisers, there's lots to do and some of it is going to cost lots of money, if you are a person who understands funding streams then we need you
- Office Space, we dont currently have an office, after the launch when the working groups are set up we are going to need one
- Administrators, when we get our office we will need some people to run it day to day
- Researchers, we need to become experts in all of the areas we are looking at, so there is a huge amount of research to be done
- Artists, We need to make some really nice displays to communicate transition effectively at events
- Workshop Leaders, If you can run a workshop in food, energy, waste, transport, local economy, health and education at the Transition Zone, let us know.
- Money, If you are a local peson or business and have some money to spare that you would like to see used for local sustainable projects then contact us to discuss projects that need funds.
