This was our first climate chaos kitchen, we were inspired by the transition town movement after going to a workshop at the Climate Camp in Heathrow. When we got back to hebden we started this night to raise awareness in the town about peak oil and climate change in the hope that Hebden Bridge would become a Transition Town.
We packed out the trades club with over a hundred people and had a pub quiz all about peak oil and climate change, the subject matter was tricky to make an entertaining quiz but fortunately our favourite compare Mike Hancock was available and managed to make it a fun and informative night. We also had a delicious locally sourced veggie roast made by Janet Oosthuysen.
