The Blackshaw Environmental Action Team are involved in all sorts of inspiring projects at the moment up, they have just published there latast newsletter. In it you will find information on:

  • Our public meeting with the leader of Calderdale Council, Cllr Janet Battye, on Wednesday 8th February.
  • Our community tree planting for our orchard and allotments at Frank and Maggs on Sunday 12th February.
  • Our free grafting course on Saturday 25th February which will take place in the Chapel.
  • How you can get your donation to BEAT doubled and Gift Aided. £375,000 is available for the doubling up and it will be the last national doubling up this year.
  • How you can sign up to 100% green electricity through BEAT and get 10% discount on your bills.
  • Latest on the community wind turbine.
  • Update on the Feed-in-Tariff for PV solar panels. There is a slight mistake in that update: it should have said 3rd March 2012 instead of 31st March 2012.
