You may have seen the new LED stage lights at the Trades, but if you come down for the Transition Social, on Tuesday 15th November, you'll be able to see a whole lot more... LEDfantastic presents... a night of LED show & tell, hosted by Dave Weirdigan and the LEDfantastic crew... domestic LED lighting demonstrated... difficult questions answered...
LEDs are a technology that has now come of age.
They use extremely small amounts of electricity and are vital in the movement towards a low-energy future.
LEDs use 10 to 15 times less energy than an old-style filament bulb.
LEDs use a tenth the energy of halogen spotlights you may have in your kitchen.
LEDs use half the energy of a modern low-energy bulb and contain no mercury.
LEDs last at least 50,000 hours - five times as long as low-energy bulbs.
On Tuesday 15th there'll be sumptuous asian cuisine from 6 (don't be late, it always sells out), Dave will start this show about 7.30... short films will be shown after the talk and from about 9pm there'll be a souLEDisco – dancing on a Tuesday to finish the evening... come on down...
LEDfantastic is a Worker's Co-op and open to new members – talk to us on the night...
