You still get the same commitment to build new sources of green energy.
New Energy Plus comes at a small premium, around £20 more per household per year because it's topped up with green energy that we have to buy in.
Ecotricity is a ‘not-for-dividend’ company and reinvests its profits into new renewable energy projects. In the last seven years it has invested nearly £50 million in wind energy. In fact Ecotricity has invested more per capita in new renewables build, over the last seven years, than any other energy company in the UK.
